Title: The New Shop: Another recap.

As there’s been a break… I think it’s recap time.
It’s been months since Alpha fucked up by trapping Artemis in the suit, enslaving him for the rest of his life. In that time, he’s not only grown to accept his new position in life but to love it. He’s been elevated in the slave hierarchy imposed by Master Q from a nameless blank, to number eleven, to gold status granting him authority over all but the other golds and human slaves right back up to full human status and the name Artemis.
He came up with several ideas that improved the lives of the slaves, including finding his inner dog and the design of a dog suit like no other. It even has a motorised jaw and tail, triggered by the emotions of the wearer which then spawned a race across the wilderness with Eleven, or rather, Tyson, Eleven’s dog name, taking on the role of a hunter, along with Slasher (Sixteen) and later, his brother, Bandit (Thirteen), Fry (Fourteen) and Duke. (Fifteen).
In the last months of the previous year, due to a serious case of mistaken identity caused by misplaced plug cores, which are used to identify the suited slaves, he was packed and dispatched to Atlanta, nearly losing his life in the effort to return home. The slave that had meant to be sent being a terrorist responsible for bombing schools in the city.
As a result of his injuries, he was transported to Q’s island, his suit was removed using a risky procedure involving a graphene blade, and he was nursed back to health with the aid of one of Q’s inventions. Nanites. Q attempted to grant him his freedom, feeling guilty for what happened to him, but Eleven immediately gave himself back to Q and requested time on the island as a blank, in order to experience life as just a standard slave.
He spent over a month in that state and, apart from a week in an outpost under the despotic rule of Eight, found he loved that too.
Back in New York, he retained his blank status until after the dog races had ended, coming in first, he befriended a slave taken as punishment for hacking their system, realising it was worth it after losing a hell of a lot of weight and finally, the terrorist was dispatched to Atlanta, properly this time.
During a play with a few of the dogs in central park, Artemis, Alpha and the dogs were arrested and charged with indecency. Artemis talked them out of it and challenged the cops to join them for a race. Q agreed and offered a prize to the police benevolent fund and the captain allowed five cops to take up the challenge, two of which, Kowalski and Yarrow have found a true appreciation for the fetish lifestyle, even requesting their time be taken as any other blank. Kowalski’s discovered his inner pain pig and a love of bondage.
Other new slaves are those taken, some against their will, at a club night. One had just discovered it was suffering from kidney failure the week before its enslavement but, with the aid of the nanites, it’s undergoing treatment that’s restoring its kidneys. Not that it knows it yet. It was one of a married couple. Both now share the same cage with Q stating they will never be separated, even sending a small addition for their suits. Gold graphene rings that will bond to the suit marking them permanently as married and allowing them to identify each other.
Another blank of note is one who begged for the suit in the club, not realising the full implications of its request until it was too late. It first encountered the suit in London and was friends with some of the slaves taken there, including Four, Five and several of the blanks. After its initial shock, it was reintroduced to Four, and, realising there was no way out and a lot of its friends would be waiting for it, it requested a week without the ability to communicate. To not be taught the slave’s sign language.
During the cops’ tour, Q called them all to the main screen to witness the fate of the Terrorist. It managed to escape attention for a long time, even breaking into a store to contact its paymasters over the internet, only to be told it should be dead and to never contact them again. After attempting to escape the suit with several sharp blades and even a soldering iron and realising it was screwed, it ran headlong into a cop who arrested it and handed it over to the mob who’d been out to kill Artemis the first time. This time, however, with a few well thought out tweets, some by Artemis, some by Q, they were convinced to torture it for the rest of its life rather than kill it.
It was last seen welded into collar, manacles and shackles and chained to a wall in an abandoned factory basement. Q has a very small drone following it everywhere.
One slave, suggested by Artemis, is being given special treatment. It’s shown a true contempt for Masters, lying about sessions, insulting them when it did show up and often not bothering to show up to arranged sessions at all. A time-waster. Q needed convincing about taking that one and warned Artemis punishment would be forthcoming if it proved to be as bad as a blank as it was as a human.
As a result, it’s all alone, controlled entirely by the computer. Ordered to work, punished when the work is inadequate or slow, rewarded if it’s good enough and on time. As Artemis has been given that slave as his pet project, he decides exactly how it’s trained and has stated it won’t see another human being for a week. Just work (most of which just involves cleaning the wet room so far) and sleep.
Don’t worry, the next chapter is coming soon. Just needed a little time after Nanowrimo (national novel writing month) before continuing but decided this catchup might be appreciated. It is rather long, after all.
